Our lovely friends at Cake Wines are doing it again. They’re setting up base in Fitzroy for a month-long celebration of wine, food, music, art, film, and more! Wednesday through Saturday in August Cake Wines’ pop-up bar will be brimming with creative folk taking part in talks, workshops and events.

The School of life will be running sessions on how to have better conversations, how to find a job you love and how to be confident. Discuss the importance of rejuvenating the global bee population with Kinfolk presents Honey harvest. Dumbo Feather will be running a Hip Hop Yoga Culture Club and  holding a screening of ‘Love and Sex in the Age of pornography‘ by Dave Corlett and Maree Crabbe, a film that looks closely at the shifting landscape of contemporary pornography and its affects on the sexual experiences of young people.

First and foremost it’s a pop-up bar so they’ll be plenty of music, food, and of course, wine tastings.

Cake Wines is all about demystifying the sometimes over-complicated world of wine. Fusing wine with creative culture, Cake has quickly captured the imaginations of a new generation of wine drinkers since its launch 18 months ago. 10% of their proceeds go back to independent radio stations. Emerging artists produce each piece of bottle art, the Archi-bottle prize, they run the Cake Film Series and numerous other art, music, and cultural events.

This will be Cake’s fourth pop-up event, but first time for Melbourne. We hope to see you all at these events, we’re really excited to partner with our friends at Cake Wines. It’s going to be ace. Most of the events are free but follow the link below to register for complimentary wines and early bird tickets.
