June Factor on the importance of play

Dumbo Feather HQ, 11 Princes St, St Kilda, Melbourne

6:30pm - 8:30pm, 25th of May 2017

We chatted with children’s writer and activist June Factor for issue 48 of Dumbo Feather, and were so uplifted by her great spirit and passion for the lives of children that we had to continue it in a live event.

June became famous nationwide for her injection of schoolyard humour through books like Far Out, Brussel Sprout! and All Right, Vegemite! She’s a living legend, and is currently campaigning to put a stop to the detention of child asylum seekers.

We’ll talk about creating safe, imaginative, free and expansive spaces for young people to play in and thrive.

Included in your ticket:

  • 40 minutes of conversation between June and Dumbo Feather
  • 20 minutes of audience question time
  • Nibbles and drinks in a beautiful space with like-minded folks
  • Bag full of goodies from people we love!
