Storytelling as therapy with Dumbo Feather and The School of Life: Melbourne

Where

The White House, 11 Princes Street, St Kilda

When

1:00pm - 4:00pm, 7th of April 2019

Storytelling has been at the heart of every culture since the dawn of humankind. It’s how we’ve sought to make sense of who we are and how we interact with the world around us. From cave walls and campfires to theatres and dinner tables, the platforms for our storytelling have been as varied as the yarns themselves. As we find ourselves deeper and deeper in the digital age, our natural inclination to process experience through storytelling can be challenged.

In this interactive workshop, our editor, Nathan Scolaro will share tips and ideas for finding your stories through conversation and reflective practices. It will help you find meaning in some of the key experiences of your life and give them a narrative arc. Whether it’s a poignant story of loss, a fast-paced thriller or a rip-snorting comedy of errors, you’ll learn to craft your story and deliver it in a way that leaves you feeling invigorated and empowered.
