Behind extraordinary ideas, there are extraordinary people.
Behind extraordinary ideas, there are extraordinary people.
I think it will come as no surprise to anyone that here at Dumbo, we’re big fans of TED. Shocker right? So when TED released its list of the 20 most popular talks (so far), we were paying attention.
The list includes some of our old favs (Sir Ken, anyone?), some newbies including Amy Cuddy’s exploration of how body language shapes who we are, and even a few we seemed to have somehow missed like Hans Rosling’s presentation on the best stats you’ve ever seen. But one of our favourite things about this year’s list is that Brené Brown’s talk has doubled in views in the last year.
When Berry, DF’s editor, interviewed Brené in 2012, she told her straight up, “Your TED talk changed my life… You do such meaningful work that traverses science and the unquantifiable realms of the heart and soul.”
As we leave 2013 behind and say hello to 2014 and all its possibilities, we think it’s a good day to reflect on embracing our own vulnerabilities, being wholehearted, living and loving fully. Find out more by reading Berry’s conversation with Brené here.
